The Orkel hiQ and the wide film is working great !

The Swiss have got the point, they have a great time baling !

The first cut is started, and the past week about 10 new hiQ balers were started up. There are more to come.

Orkel hiQ baling high density with wide film protection in S-Europe.

hiQ_widefilm.JPG

The forage season has started in southern parts of Europe. The first units of Orkel hiQ's are in operation. Quite a few hiQ's are equipped with wide film kit (replacing net).
Contractors and farmers are very pleased about the new technology.
The wide film is covering well and provides an important added oxygen barrier.
Increased bale density means increased forage value.

Orkel hiQ reduces cost for wrap based on bale density

The feedback from the 2008 season is clear: Orkel hiQ is making the hardest bales. A number of hiQ drivers give us the same reports. Finish customers made objective tests. Read more to see the figures.

Smartbaler = hardbaler

“Impressive !” This was the statement from customer Henrik Rødde regarding bales from the Orkel hiQ when starting up the hiQ’s purchased by Henrik Rødde og Jostein Sundseth.

NEW!! Orkel hiQ smartbaler

The Orkel hiQ smartbaler was introduced for the first time during the Agritechnica in Hannover this November. This is the baler for the contractor!

The testdriving of the hiQ was already in progress in 2006,
and continued both in Norway and Finland this season.
The baler is now ready for sale on the European and the Norwegian market in a limited number for the 2008 season.

Orkel GP1260

Round baler with greasable bushings Based on many years of round baler experience, Orkel developed the GP1260, an all round baler with pick-up and chopping unit.

  • Norwegian round baler of high quality and well-devised technology!
  • All round professional baler with greasable bushings on rollers as world newness!
  • One and only round baler on the marked with greasable bushings!
  • Automatic bushings- and chain lubrication as standard.

  •

Greasable bushings - an absolute success!

New! Orkel gives 5 years warranty on bushings, up to50.000 bales.

    • Well known technology, better and more economic solution.
    • Price, life time and maintenance will turn into reduced costs by using
      bushings compared to traditional bearings.
    • Occasional damages of a bushing will not demand an immediate need for
      replacement.
    • Bushings are more robust concerning vibrations, pressure and pollution.

    Robust pressrollers ensure long lifetime

    • GP 1260 rollers are made up with an aggressive profile. This ensures both
rotation of slippery material and provides a good compression of the bale.
    • The rollers profile, in combination with metal sheet thickness and -quality,
results in high stability and a long lifetime.
    • Roller shafts with large diameter.
    • Robust discs inside the roller and high quality welding.

First round baler with automatic bushings- and chain lubrication as standard

    Bushing greasing:

    • The operator is totally free from demands for greasing. Especially
contractors will appreciate this function - avoiding expensive downtime.
    • Continuous supply of grease avoids dirt penetrating the bushings.
    • The consumption of grease will be approx. 50% compared with manual
      greasing.

Chain lubrication: Each time the chamber opens, the chains are supplied with oil
through brushes. Proven pick-up and chopping device - now with 20 knives

    • Knives of high quality are spring tensioned to avoid damage.
    • The material is chopped in a theoretical length of 54 mm.
    • Pick-up working width of 2,1 m.
    • The rotor of the chopping unit has special robust infeeders, made to resist
bending out sideways. The infeeder provides a precise chopping by forcing
the material over the knife-edge. This is the reason for the GP 1260 being
      known as the chopping baler.

Smart and clear net tying system

    • A logical and uncomplicated system provides a secure and well performed
net tying. The system handles all types of net.
    • An electrical motor runs the system.
    • The same rubber roller is responsible for feeding and braking of the net.
    • A sharp heavy knife ensures safe cutting of the net.
    • An extra net roll may be placed next to the net roll in operation. In a very
simple way, the extra roll may be released and slide into operating position.

Bale density - on the topp

    • To get high bale density, the GP1260 contains 18 rollers with a diameter of
      20 cm.
    • The high number of rollers and the small roller diameter performs a heavy
treatment of the baled material, which results in a high bale density.
    • Chamber construction combined with well-stabilised cross sections between
the walls supports this effect of high bale density.
    • Mechanical closing of the chamber makes adjusting of the baling pressure
      easy and reliable.

    Service friendly in focus

    • All actual covers may be opened by simple means.
    • Gas dampers hold open covers for inspection and service.
    • Well-designed and uncomplicated constructions are important details to
simplify service work and limit down time.

    Extra equipment

    • Big wheels are guaranty for low ground pressure.
    • With a bale kicker you don't need to back the baler before releasing the bale.
    • The baler is prepared for mounting attachment for additives.
